Our organization is very specific and focused in terms of our clientele category. We assist sexually exploited women (prostitution/sex trafficking) and young survivors of incest, rape and the sex trade who opted to undergo livelihood skills training at the organization’s seven (7) drop-in centers nationwide and holistic healing and recovery at the four (4) homes in Luzon and Mindanao.
The women and children served by the Third World Movement Against the Exploitation of Women (TW-MAE-W) are survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation, sex trafficking and prostitution. Most of them are originally from far-flung and depressed provinces and urban squatter areas. They have had very limited access to housing, clean water, education, medical care and other social services because of the high rate of poverty in the places they come from. As a result of poverty, these women had succumbed to a life of sexual exploitation in the bars, brothels and the red light districts in the Philippines or abroad.
